After votes had been verified, Cllr Southworth confirmed the winners. The successful pitches got over £12k together with some of the funds being given to projects in Elton, like Brandlesholme Residents Association’s pitch for £1,500 towards improving access to the renowned path known locally as “Brangy Dip”, Woodbank Cricket Club also received £1,500 to increase their fun sports and exercise programme for local people of all abilities and our ward schools. Bury2gether, which has recently found a home in Brandlesholme, also received £1,500 towards running the forum, support groups, workshops and leisure activities for families of children with special educational needs and disabilities (S.E.N.D.).
