National Campaign Action Day - Bury North CLP

Next Saturday, 1st October, Bury North will be involved with the Labour Party's day of action on Education.
You will be aware that it is now stated Tory party policy to take our education system back over 40 years by returning to a system of selection. A system that failed approximately 80% of pupils and that has been soundly discredited in the intervening years.
If you think dividing children into successes and failures at age eleven is divisive and wrong, then why not join us ?
We will be meeting, with a street stall, near Barista on The Rock (where Hornby buildings used to be) at 12 noon on Saturday.
We will be there for at least two hours, and I hope you can join us for part of that time.
Our aim is  to gather support for our campaign  to stop the Tories trying to return our education system to one that benefits an elite few at the expense of the many.
See you Saturday !!
Susan Southworth
Chair Bury North CLP.
