Campaign Update - April 11th

Yesterday, Cllr  Tamoor Tariq, Dr Lal Khan and I went out to meet some of the Asian heritage voters in Elton.

Many thanks to Tamoor and Lal for organising this, and to the people we met in Elton, for their warm reception  and support.
We estimate that this community in Elton could have up to 150 votes, potentially all for Labour, and it is important that all wards tap into this level of support.
We are going out again in a couple of weeks to meet those we didn't get round to seeing yesterday, so if anyone would like to join us to see how it is done, just let me know.
We also have a letter, from Tamoor  that we gave  to voters, explaining who the candidate is and when the elections are etc.
Anyone who would like a copy, just get in touch.
It was four hours well spent, and far more productive than just door-knocking !
